The New Edexcel GCSE Drama Course (Members)

The New Edexcel GCSE Drama Course (Members)

The New Edexcel GCSE Drama Course (Members)

led by Laura Robinson, James Walsh and Gillian Emmett

Tuesday 13th October 6.30-8.30pm at Central School of Speech & Drama, Eton Avenue NW3 3HY

This course is aimed at both teachers new to the new specification Edexcel GCSE course and to current teachers who wish to refresh their ideas and approach.

The format of the course is that two experienced drama teachers will describe the practicalities of implementing the new Edexcel GCSE Drama specification in their own situation. There will be an opportunity for you to ask questions and gain ideas and advice to guide you.

Gillian Emmett, Chief Examiner at Edexcel, will chair the meeting and give the Edexcel perspective.

This format should give all teachers, both those new to the specification and also current teachers, an excellent practical grounding as well as clear guidance and inspiration.

Laura Robinson is Head of Drama at Mossbourne Community Academy, Hackney. Drama is a hugely popular subject and we have a large cohort of students opting for Drama at GCSE. The growing school is now in its 6th year and is looking forwards to welcoming its new 6th Form students and offering Drama and Theatre Studies at A level.
