About London Drama Member Theatres

London Drama supports active links between teachers in schools and London's network of professional Theatre Companies providing programmes for children and young people.

We offer Theatres two types of Membership: Standard and Premium. Each type includes all staff at your theatre as Members of London Drama. They are entitled to all discounts on courses and books and to receive LD's E-News individually when you supply their email addresses. Your named Member Contact receives mailouts of Drama magazine and Dialogue newsletter.

Standard Membership

Costs £40 per year and gives you all the regular features of Membership plus access to our members and advantages as detailed below:

  • Company Programmes. You have a free listing for your current events on the back page of Dialogue, London Drama’s newsletter, published twice a term. Your current programme is constantly highlighted to all member organisations and individuals.
  • Flyers in our Regular Mailouts. Flyers for your latest show or event can be included in mailouts to members – six mailouts a year at discounted rates.
  • Courses and Workshops. Member companies get prior knowledge and opportunity to book our INSET and CPD events. Many theatre team members find this a valuable way to extend skills and keep in touch with teachers.
  • Listing on our Website. Your company is listed on our Standard Member Theatres page with an email link, eg.

Premium Membership

Costs £50 per year and gives you access to our membership and advantages as Standard Membership above, plus:

  • E-mail Newsletter. You can send out up-to-date news of programmes and offers for shows to our members via our E-News.
  • Listing on our Website. Your company is listed on our Premium Member Theatres page with your logo, company profile, and a link from our website to your website.

STEP is a borough-wide partnership linking the theatre community and education and youth sector in the London Borough of Southwark. STEP aims to equalise, extend and deepen the theatre and drama experience of all young people living in Southwark through the development of strategic partnerships between schools, youth and community groups and theatres and performing arts organisations. STEP's objective is to work closely with Southwark schools, youth and community groups and theatres and performing arts organisations to develop creative approaches to learning and provide innovative projects which stimulate children and young people's personal development and contribute to their educational attainment.
