London Drama Students' Welcome 2015 (Members) £10.00 £5.00

Saturday 10 October 2015: 10am to 3.30pm (Registration 9.30-10am)
Venue: Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way WC1H 0AL.

Hello and Welcome to London and to London Drama!
Each year London Drama welcomes to London all the new students from the PGCE Drama Courses at the London Colleges (plus Reading and Sussex) and all GTP/SCITT/Other drama trainees and puts on a special event for them. This year our Welcome takes place on Saturday 10th October 2015 from 10am to 3.30pm, at the Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way WC1H 0AL. It is called Starting Your Professional Development as a Drama Teacher and aims to do just that – provide you with useful experiences, resources, ideas and information to equip you on your journey as a successful drama teacher. It will be practical (of course) and will also provide you with an opportunity to share your ideas, establish networks and gain inspiration from other students.

The Course Leaders will be Andy Kempe (Reading PGCE Course leader), Amanda Kipling (Goldsmiths PGCE Course leader) and Theo Bryer (Institute of Education). Each workshop leader will provide a different relevant focus to extend and support your drama teaching and everyone who attends will work with every tutor – so you won’t miss out on anything. There will also be an input from a key London organisation that is a source for Drama and Theatre in London. The London Drama Bookstall will attend the event as well so you will have an opportunity to browse and buy a whole range of useful supportive drama books.
