Creative Lighting (Member Students)

This workshop has been specially arranged for London Drama Members in partnership with National Theatre Discover

A one day course in lighting design for teachers and their students aged 16+, the course will explore creative ways to use lighting design as an integral part of your production. It will focus on simple techniques and effects that can be achieved with limited technology, allowing for greater student involvement in both design and operation.

Lighting designer Jon Clark is currently working on Hamlet at the National Theatre and has an extensive CV having worked for some of the UK’s most exciting theatres and touring companies including the RSC, Royal Court and Frantic Assembly.

In this practical course Jon will share his experience and expertise, equipping you with a basic lighting toolkit to use with your students and the confidence to get creative.
