Drama Now! Conference Highlights (Members)

London Drama's non-residential two day Conference: Drama Now! ~ and the Way Ahead took place on Thursday 12th April and Friday 13th April 2012 at Goldsmiths College, New Cross in partnership with Goldsmiths Centre for Arts and Learning (CAL).

Our aim was to bring together a diverse range of Drama, Theatre and Performing Arts teachers and practitioners, who are currently involved in the field of education, from London and beyond in order to enable links and put them in touch with one another to share current projects and practice.

We did this successfully with a broad range of practical drama experiences from theatre companies, from classroom teachers sharing their work and the involvement of young people in the workshops and in performance.

As a result a huge range of experiences and practical resources were generated which we would like to share and disseminate.

Didn't manage to get there? Not to worry!

This evening course is aimed at all those who were not able to attend this Conference but would like to catch up and/or participate in and practically evaluate the Key Practices demonstrated in the Workshops covering:

  • Classroom Drama Methods
  • Youth and Community Drama/Theatre
  • Personal Drama Skills

It will provide you with highlights from the Conference including loads of very useful resources for immediate use with your classes and a lot of inspiration.

Date and time: Tuesday 19th June; 6.30-8.30pm

Venue: Central School of Speech and Drama. Map.
